Provenance

Penguin, 2010. The true story of con man John Drewe, who convinced down-on-his-luck painter John Myatt to paint about 240 fakes in the styles of artists such as Giacometti and Ben Nicholson. Myatt falsified documents in the Tate Gallery's archive to pass the works off as genuine. The painting on the cover is a Jasper Johns fake by Myatt.
