The Secret History of MI6
Penguin Press, September 2010. The verso copy promises to reveal (among other things) "...THE REAL TOOLS OF SPYING: surprising insights on the technology of espionage from its early days: wireless communication, imaginative concealing devices (including a false horse penis), exploding file cabinets, and more."

Jaya Miceli: Angelology

Designed by Jaya Miceli, Viking, 2010. I was lucky to play a role in this project creating the wings and retouching the photo which wraps around the book. The cover is printed on pearlescent paper. This is an epic adventure story about the age-old battle between the half-human, half-angel Nephilim and the Society of Angelologists, who are bent on protecting humanity from their evil plans.
Provenance
Penguin, 2010. The true story of con man John Drewe, who convinced down-on-his-luck painter John Myatt to paint about 240 fakes in the styles of artists such as Giacometti and Ben Nicholson. Myatt falsified documents in the Tate Gallery's archive to pass the works off as genuine. The painting on the cover is a Jasper Johns fake by Myatt.
